Troubleshooting: I Can't Find My Lead Follow
Sometimes CINC users run into a scenario where they can't find their lead. Don't worry! Your lead is not gone. It has just been misplaced. There are a few reasons why you might not be able to find your lead.
Filters & Labels Are Activated
It is possible that you can't find your lead because you were previously searching by certain labels or filters that do not apply to the lead you are searching for. To make sure you can click on the reset all button at the top of you lead dashboard. This will clear out any filters, labels or other specific search criteria. Now you can search for your lead again and see if it appears in your lead list.
The Lead Has Become A Partial Lead
The most common reason CINC agents can not find one of their leads is they, or someone else on their team who has access to the lead, has marked the lead as partial. This is sometimes done by accident with an unintentional mouse click or partial lead was chosen because there is a misunderstanding about what a partial lead is.
A partial lead is a lead that comes in with partial information. This is usually just a phone number. Leads of a partial nature usually get generated through an unknown lead phone number calling or texting your CINC number or they can come through a seller page and give partial information.
The lead gets marked as a partial lead by an agent by check marking the partial lead option right below a lead's name and contact info in their profile.
Checking this will put the lead into the list with all the other partial leads and partial leads do not show in search results by default. To search for partial leads, you have to use the filters on your lead dashboard and choose the lead type filter. That is where you can choose to search partial leads.
So, if you can't find a lead in a regular search, try using the above filter to see if your lead has accidentally fallen into this list. Fortunately, now we have a warning when someone tries to mark a lead as partial. This, however, may not stop some from still accidentally marking the lead as partial.
The Lead Has Been Assigned to Another Agent
If you are an agent level user, you can only see leads that are assigned to you. If you have tried to search for your lead in the partial lead list and it is not there, it is possible that your lead has been reassigned by one of the admins on your team. In this case, you will want to check with either a the owner of the site, a broker level user or a team leader who has access to see all the leads. They will be able to search for the lead and tell you why it is no longer assigned to you. They could also assign the lead back to you if necessary.
